The Host computer has the ability to handle multiple referral services
(including referral services for specific centers of excellence and product and
service lines). Appointments may be made at the time of the phone call, or
visit, to the PRS or provider location. These appointments may be made directly
into the physician provider's, or other service location's, appointment
scheduling module. Appointment slots can be available for referral appointment
scheduling without breaching confidentiality, since the program does not make
available information on appointments previously scheduled. Registration
information recorded in the PRS system is automatically transferred to the
provider location, thus elimination the need to reregister the patient.
